Official Announcement (finally!)

Merry belated CHRISTmas!  I hope y’all had a blessed time with family and dear friends.  What a precious time of year as we focus on the real Reason for the Season – the birth of Jesus Christ!

Well, I have been extremely busy trying to stay caught up with things at home and get organized, as well as praying about the direction of BLP.  For the past month or so, I have been hinting at an “official announcement” about the future of BLP.  I have delayed posting the announcement as I still wasn’t totally sure what the LORD was leading me to do.  I am quite confident of the decision now and am at peace with everything.  So here I am, ready to give my announcement.  I will not dilly-dally around, so here it is…

I have decided to put Beauty & Light Photography on hold for an indefinite period of time.   My priorities at home are such that I must focus on my family and things at home consistently before I can take on any outside projects or work that would distract me.  How long this will take before I open up BLP again, I don’t know.  It can be anywhere from 3-6 months to a year, or longer.   All I know is that I have neglected my roles at home and towards my family over the years and it’s time that I focus on excelling in my primary calling before I add on anything else to my schedule.

Not to worry, though!  I plan to continue with photography (I love it and can’t imagine giving it up altogether!).  But the business aspect of it will cease for a while.  I plan to building my photography skills as I have time to do so.  And I will still have my camera with me wherever I go (at least most of the time <wink>), so as not to miss a photographic opportunity.  Photo sessions will be limited to only family and very close friends on an extremely limited basis.  This means you will continue to see new photos on my photoblog!   So please don’t stop visiting! :D
